Bankers

Brief

Bankers is a classic style lamp that was in need of updated imagery. The goal was to give at exclusive, traditional vibe while accentuating the brass finish and green glass. We were directed to use as little styling elements as possible and keep the lamp in focus.

Process

I started with basic sketches to set up a composition that would keep the lamp in focus and allow several aspect ratios for our channels. I also lowered the lighting and set it from the left just to enhance the elegant shape of the lamp, directing the lighting from the fake window makes it almost appear like natural lighting at sunrise.
To create a useful mood image for sizing context we still need some kind of other elements, like a table and a chair - which portrays how Bankers is an elegant choice for a desk lamp.
